On July 3, 2015, a structure known as Haven appeared over the Pacific Ocean, its arrival caused a world wide permanent outage, then the dragons were awakened, they flew around and chose only about 1,000 people world wide but it seemed that more people wanted to used their dragon for power and began to torment those without, whole cities were destroyed and the body count began to climb, there are a few dragon riders that try to protect people but their numbers are few. Those who survive, try to keep hidden from any dragon.

There are four ways to obtain a dragon
1. Get one full grown off of Haven
2. Obtain an egg from Haven
3. Get an egg from a mated pair
4. Have a live dragon cough up a soul crystal fragment and "wish" for an egg

The life of a dragon is called a Soul Crystal, fragments of that crystal can be given to a human to gain a quick dragon egg, however the smaller the crystal the weaker the dragon, but will grow back with time if the dragon survives long enough. In the event that two or more dragons fight, the winner can consume the losers soul crystal to become stronger.

No matter how evil the human, once on Haven there can be no blood shed, it is against the law of the dragon for Haven, to them this law is sacred. A dragon and rider can live on Haven, and the only way to reach Haven is to fly, and since there is no electricity anywhere in the world, dragons are the only wings.

no actually, there are unhatched eggs inside of Haven, they won't hatch unless they have a person to attach to, the person would have to be brought to Haven since the other full grown dragons don't like if eggs are taken off Haven.
