Backstory:
Was trying to get out of town heading to Georgia, with so much panic from others traveling was difficult, I knew my Dad could probably take care of himself but I didn't want to risk it, a dying dragon gave me a soul fragment and told me to take care of it as if my life depended on it, the dragon wanted me to stick around for the egg to hatch so that the hatchling could devour its soul crystal. I did, and my hatchling was quickly big enough to ride after that.
