Gretel came back and had a bit of a rough landing but was uninjured for the most part just really tired I smiled stroked her snout, it was good that she was getting older I guess me humming was just as good as singing

Me: "At least you still came. Will you be alright Raquel?"
Raquel: "I'll be fine, Dragons recover fast but quicker when consuming a shard."
I nod, at this point once Raquel completely recovers, we will make our way home.

Gretel laid down since that short burst of flight quickly tired her.
"Is it normal for new dragons to be this tired after a first flight?" I asked

"Yes and no, of course I wouldn't exactly call that first flight either." Gabriel says biting out another chunk of meat to expose the soul crystal, it was grey just like the dragon and was dimly glowing, Gabriel swallowed this chuck and then tore out the crystal, the crystal broke like rock candy under the pressure of Gabriel's jaws, he divided the remaining for Raquel and Gretel.

Raquel took his portion of crystal and the injury on his back healed, Raquel stretched and let out a mild groan, he was ready to go at this point.
Me: "Well I guess it's time for us to depart, We'll meet again otherwise Raquel won't let me hear the end of it."
Raquel: "Thats right." he smiles
I mount up on Raquel and with his powerful -ish wings he takes off with our final destination Georgia.

"So what now?" I asked watching Randy and Raquel fly away, Gretel ate her chunk of crystal and was now brimming with energy

"Now she actually learns to fly, there is a spot to the east that looks promising enough, if we leave now we can be there by sundown, and that's by walking." Gabriel says finishing what he can before the rest of the grey dragon dissolves.
